Preserving the Gloucester Collection Archive

The Gloucester Collection consists of approximately 30,000 manuscripts and bound volumes that began in Gloucester Library before the Record Office existed. It covers records from across the county, not just Gloucester, and spans 600 years of the county's history. In late 2011 the Friends agreed to provide just over £2,500 to upgrade the collection's packaging to archival standards.
